Apple - Confirms iPhone 5 Event (September 12th)

I hate that this image is such shitty quality, but it's the only one out there. Apple has confirmed the iPhone 5 to be officially announced on September 12th. I'm assuming they will do their traditional keynote event highlighting all the new features. I don't have an upgrade for another decade though so this just pisses me off.

Apple iPhone 4S

Apple announced today the iPhone 4S. No visible physical design change but quite a big technical upgrade. The new iPhone is going to be a World Phone that will feature iOS 5, its patent A5 dual core processor, 8 megapixel 5 lens camera that shoots up to 3264x2448 resolution and down to f2.4 aperture, 1080p HD video, wireless mirroring with AirPlay, and the most important breakthrough feature; Siri Personal Assistant. Pre-order starts this Friday Oct. 7th, rollout on Oct 14th. Prices are $199 16GB, $299 32GB, and $399 64GB. Available for Verizon, AT&T and now Sprint.

First off, im pretty disappointed that there is no new design, where the fuck is the iPhone 5? But the new features are pretty awesome. The camera is wild, you can really take some amazing shots with that. Gonna be one of the best phone cameras on the market. But Siri is so wild. This thing will be your new secretary. You can ask Siri what time it is, hows the weather outside, to set an alarm for you, to read your text and then you can reply to it, to remind you to make a call when you get home; its uses are myriad and its integrated throughout the phone. That feature really makes the 4S for me. Im not sure how comfortable im gonna talking into my phone like that all the time, but it is really intuitive. 

Apple Officially Sends Invites for October 4th Event "Let's Talk iPhone"

"Apple has formally announced its upcoming media event after months of rumors and speculation. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 4 at 10am Pacific Daylight Time on Apple's campus in Cupertino—just as the latest rumors predicted—and will be led by Apple's new CEO Tim Cook."

Well fucking finally. Questions are still there on what Apple will actually announce at the event. My bet is that Apple will be releasing two phones, iPhone 4s and the iPhone 5(confirmed with accidental Otterbox banner shown below). The 4s (leaked Otterbox case shown below) being an affordable model with slight upgrades from the 4, which will be able to be used for even things like a pre-paid plan. And the 5 will be the new contender with the dual-core A5 processor, 1gb of RAM, Qualcomm Gobi Baseband chips that allow it to operate on both GSM and CDMA networks, an 8mp camera, and said to be the best feature, 'Assistant' the Siri and Nuance speech-to-text/voice navigation program that is supposed to put Apple finally above Android in that category. 

I guess all the questions will be answered on October 4th. #teamiphone
